There was a time in the mid-90′s when director Krishna Vamsi took Tollywood by storm. He was churning hits at a pace that even seasoned directors could not match. But post Khadgam, which one must admit was his best effort he somehow slowed down a bit in terms of connecting to the changing tastes of the audience.
His latest film, Mogudu starring Gopichand promises to reverse that trend. Songs, the music for which has been composed by debutant music director Babu Krishna, can be expected to be well received as was the case with many of his previous movies. Also Krishna Vamsi is known for his song picturization. The sensuous projection of Tabu and Sonali Bendre, in his earlier films, is a case in point.
Mogudu is about the reciprocity of love in a marriage and the respect, trust in that institution. The director revealed that it is a subject close to his heart. The movie is scheduled for a mid-October release.
