It is known that Ram Gopal Varma made a satire song on all the Tollywood directors in the film ‘KSD Appalaraju’. Although he involved many directors in the song ‘Lucku tho Siva cinema teesi…’ including himself, Sreenu Vaitla seems to have taken that serious.
“Namo Venkatesa anna Sreenu Vaitla ki panga naamame migile chivaraki..” was the line written on Sreenu Vaitla in that song. Vaitla has a nature of paying back everything without hiding in him. Generally he creates some funny characters in his films those resemble the real time film celebrities. Sources say that, he created the character Solomon Raju as he underwent problem with Chiranjeevi during ‘Andarivaadu’ (but some say it was Super Star Krishna for unknown reasons). He created character Jayasurya as he said to have faced problem from Chakry during ‘Dhee’. Similarly he made some satires on producer DVV Danayya indirectly in the film ‘Ready’ as he faced problems from him during ‘Dubai Sreenu’. Now he has chosen Ram Gopal Varma for ‘Dookudu’. There was an abrupt scene in the film where Ram Gopal Varma’s picture appears. Theatres echoed with laughs. Although the scene is no way demeaning Varma’s image, the only purpose of Vaitla is to make audience laugh looking at him, as people laughed listening to the line on him in ‘KSDA’ song. Vaitla succeeded. Varma would enjoy knowing this.- Recent Posts
